Halong Bay

Nathan being silly on our long van ride out to the bay. Note...no car seats or seat belts. I was very concerned that this would be an issue for him once we arrived home. No problems so far....just carsickness!

Our dinner. I lost weight while we were in Vietnam, but have gained it back...I was so excited for the comfort junk foods of home!

I now see why Nathan's hair was always so short in his photos. I thought they were trying to combat scabies or lice. No...he has three cowlicks in a row!

Our pineapple dessert!

Nate is very intrigued with Dave's beard.

This is out of the rear of our van. There was an ambulance behind us and the traffic was stop and go. Nobody moves over for the ambulance. I thought it was sad! It seems as if everybody has the entitlement mentality that they are entitled to go first. We were so happy to drive when we arrived back in Guam. People actually stop to let you go ahead of them!!!!

Trying on Mommy's belt.
The Vietnamese zoo keepers....we saw these guys in action. This is not something you would see in the states! They used long bamboo shoots that they poked the monkeys with to get them to go to their cages, so that they could go in and clean them.

We have a new motto at our house. Chopsticks are not weapons! They however can be used as microphones....
and drumsticks!
We went for a walk and saw these guys practicing their martial arts.

More catching up

Coca Cola anyone?
Vietnam could use some electrical help!
Leonard Family tradition.....timeout for hitting mom!

The hotel staff wanted to know how much Nathan weighed, but we didn't know how many kilograms it was....so they put him on the produce scale :) He was almost 11 kilograms.

Look what Dave found....a wannabe Starbucks!

Happy Easter

Whoo Hoo! The safe is open!
A shot of the "locksmith's" toolbox.
This is about all we could find that Nathan would eat. Vietnamese "Vienna sausages" and formula in a box.
Our first Sunday together. We found an International Protestant service in Hanoi!
