I'm a New Auntie!!!

My brother called last night at 4:00 p.m. and said that he was headed to the hospital. Krystal was already there. She was dilated to 3 and 90% effaced. I kept my cell phone close to my side all night. Kyndall RaeAnne was born at 9:51 p.m. on December 27, 2006. She weighed 7 lbs 12 oz and is healthy. Both Krystal and Kyndall are doing well. I'm so relieved. I won't miss seeing her on my trip!!! She also arrived prior to the New Year, so it is financially helpful to her parents :)

Pray for Grandma Waggener

My mom called today and said that Grandma's Doctor confirmed that she has kidney failure and he has given her 2 weeks to 2 months left here on this earth. She has lived a nice, long life of 85 years for Christ. I am amazed at God's planning in the timing of my trip home. I am beginning to understand that God may have a bigger plan than I imagined. Please pray that I am settled with whatever happens in the timing of the new baby and what may be Grandma's last few months.

Merry Christmas

I wish that I would have had the camera at the Christmas Eve Candlelight service. Dave was responsible for this service this year. It was very nice. I love Christmas and how it reminds me of Christ's love for us.

The girls had a lot of fun opening their gifts!
Miranda got a Polly Cruise Ship!

McKenzie got a new bike!

It has been HOT!

I'm going to have trouble adjusting to Oregon weather when I am home. Last night at 5:30 p.m. it was 78 degrees. Tonight it was 74! Because it is December and a complete habit, I found myself putting on my leather coat as I headed out the door. I got in the car and felt a little hot. No wonder! I was afraid that I didn't dress appropriately for the night with a sleeveless dress and flip flops. I don't even know if I will be able to comprehend how cold I really am going to be when I get to Oregon!

Visit to Santa

Miranda went to go see Santa. I would love to include photos of McKenzie, but she is way too big to be seen doing that!

Dad bribed Miranda to ask Santa for a motorcycle for him too. She enjoyed Starbucks afterwards.

Miranda ate up the fact that she was going to enjoy Santa this year. She even rode his train!

Miranda's Christmas Program

How can you have Christmas without the annual Christmas Program? They are so cute!

This is one of the many faces of Miranda. She wasn't happy that mom wanted a picture of her with her gingerbread house.

I told her she couldn't go outside until I got a good smile. That's my girl!

We were able to have lunch with McKenzie too!

Dave has been selected for SOS!

Dave found out this week that he is going to SOS (Squadron Officer's School)! This is a school for Captains. He felt honored to be selected to go as such a "young" Captain. I am delighted that he has been chosen, although it is right when my niece is due. I'm going to have to make some adjustments with my trip. I'll leave on Dec 31 and come back home on January 7 for him to start class on January 8. Congratulations Dave!

Christmas Decorating!

It is tradition for us to wait until December 4 to decorate for Christmas. We always wait until after Miranda's birthday is finished. This year was quite a bit different. Miranda got the stomach flu the night of her birthday, passed it on to Dave, then Kenzie, and then me. We are finally through it. We finally got to the decorating today. Last year on the after Christmas clearance sales I bought a new Christmas tree and realized that I may have gone a little too big. Luckily, our house accommodates 9 1/2 feet....the angel is a little smashed. I love big trees! We are almost ready for Christmas. I will finalize the decorating and cleaning tomorrow when everybody goes back to work and school.

Randa Panda is 7!

Miranda chose a Panda Karaoke party this year. Some of the little girls hadn't experienced Karaoke before. They all loved it and we heard "What I Like About You" more times than any one could bear!

Don't be fooled! This isn't an ice cream cone. It's a microphone. We had to improvise with Miranda's pinata.

You know a birthday party is a success when you are told that this is fun and they comment that they want to live with you! Do they think we do this everyday?

Papa John and Nanny Nadine sent a Duck's shirt. Go Ducks!

Happy Thanksgiving

Happy Thanksgiving. We had a relaxing day and enjoyed a nice dinner. We invited our neighbors, John, Brandy and Colton. I only had to do half the cooking! We are very thankful for our family, friends and health. We are blessed!

Mickey's back to normal

I am pleased "?" to announce that Mickey has eaten and drank well today and not had any vomiting. I guess we have a high anxiety cat. Aren't we lucky :)

Mickey

Mickey is sick. He has been vomiting continually for the last two days and not eating. I took him into the vet and had some tests run. He was so mean that they couldn't open the cage and decided that if we ran more tests that they would have to sedate him. Dave and I decided that we had done enough and that we would watch him to see if he ate and drank and if he didn't, we would have him put to sleep. You can't not eat and drink for over 48 hrs. I brought him home to say good bye to the girls. He hid out all night, like he was trying to be alone....not a good sign.

We had a good cry session and took lots of pictures of the cat. This morning I woke up at 4, worried about the cat and knowing that I had an extra busy schedule with having to run to the vet too. Well, he has eaten some of his food and water and not thrown it up! It is an answer to prayer!

We have concluded that it was the tornadoes that upset him so much. When hurricane Ivan came through he got sick, but not this much.

Who would have know that a cat can be so anxious? My cat was misbehaving so badly at the vet that I was the talk of the vets. I had one who wasn't tending to Mickey come in and ask me if he was mine. I told him that I feel like a mom with a child that is misbehaving and I can't control him. I felt bad. He offered me kitty prozac!....again. This isn't the first time. We'll see if Mickey continues to eat and drink normally and not get sick. Then we'll worry about his anxiety! Please pray for Mickey that he will continue to keep his food and water down.

Halloween

The girls went trick-or-treating last night. It is so much fun to live on base. There were kids EVERYWHERE!

Look at all that candy! McKenzie wanted to be a spa princess. She is all girl!

Miranda's costume was a huge hit! She was an MP-ME player. She saw the costume in the magazine at the dentist's office and we looked on the internet to find it. It wasn't too difficult to make. The cops loved her costume. They gave her the last of their candy!

The Best Babysitters Around!

Our friends John and Nadine came and stayed with the girls for the week while we were on our cruise. We can't thank them enough for the blessing that they gave to us. Moms and Dads need time away. The girls had the time of their lives and I think John and Nadine enjoyed being Nanny and Papa.

Snorkeling in Grand Cayman

It was so much fun to have the fish all around....a little scary. We were reassured that they were harmless and no sharks.

This was the ship wreck that we were snorkeling over. It was a ship that went down in the 30's.

Who needs Botox when you have a snorkel mask like this!....Ok, so I'm not so pretty when I snorkel, but I had a lot of fun!

Beautiful sunrise in Belize. I took this picture from our balcony.

Dave and our friend Rick having fun in Costa Maya.

Tarantula in Belize....just hanging out in the rainforest at the Mayan Ruins.

We found Pirates in Grand Cayman.

One of our formal dinners.

We just returned from the Western Caribbean. We had a great time in Grand Caymans, Cozumel, Belize and Costa Maya. We are having a hard time now that we are back on land. The sea-sickness has hit!

Club Libby Lu

Miranda earned a trip to Libby Lu for a make over. It is a little girl haven....everything pink and glitter.

Very pretty!

Sparky

At Maxwell it is tradition to have Sparky give candy out to the houses during Fire Prevention week. Everybody comes outside and there is a Sparky Parade. It was lots of fun!

Columbus Day Weekend

Some good family beach time. The weather was perfect.

We stayed at Eglin AFB and played games in the room. Dave taught Kenzie some guitar chords and the girls had carmel apples! It was a nice, and relaxing time.....Dave and I know that we will get plenty of that in the next two weeks, but felt the girls needed some time away too!
Dave spoke at the National Postmaster's Association in the morning, we went to church on base and then headed for the beach.
