Cinderella

The Missoula Children's Theater came through Maxwell last week. The kids audition on Monday and practice every day of the week and have a performance on Friday night. It was a lot of work, but she did great! McKenzie was cast as a Lord or Lady. We didn't think about the fact that there weren't any boys in her group, so the next day when I picked her up she was in tears because she had to be a boy. She worked through it. By the end of the week she was OK with having to act as a boy. It will only strengthen her acting skills, right? The performance was great. The highlight was when Cinderella couldn't find the coverup to her costume and came back out on stage in the wrong costume. They recovered well and all had a lot of fun. McKenzie was able to socialize with other chaplains daughters her age. It was a great week for us.

Miranda was cast as a pumpkin. They were all very cute, but Miranda had to bow out. The only two practices for the little pumpkins were during her make-up swimming lessons from a sick swim teacher and the day we went to Six Flags for the free Air Force day. Next year when the theater comes through, we'll try out again!
